Our busy lifestyles, including family obligations and demanding careers, leaves little time for self-reflection and introspection.
Just like our body needs physical strengthening and care, our emotional and mental well-being needs attention and maintenance. Therapy helps to fortify your emotional balance, and puts you on the path to wellness.
Mental Health Counseling
Trauma / PTSD lives in our body, and clouds our perception. Symptoms can surface months, or even years later. You may experience anger, depression, anxiety, nightmares, difficulty concentrating, loss of appetite, or feelings of isolation. Proper treatment enables healing, and leaves you feeling validated, connected and hopeful.

Through counseling, the individual will learn that while some barriers are a reality, others can be resolved. The process and experience of living with a disability is seen through the lens of the potential for what they can do, rather than the limitations of what cannot be done.
Promise pathways works with the individual who has acquired a disability such as an autoimmune disease, chronic pain, stroke, injury, or an orthopedic condition that now limits functionality. The counseling process enables individuals to regain self-efficacy, learn self-advocacy, develop coping strategies, and move past barriers in their environments.
